Foreign Students Cell

Foreign Students Cell enrols International students to PG Schools of GTU and its affiliated UG and PG institutes under ICCR scholarship and on self-finance mode also. GTU’s Foreign Students Cell in last five years (2013 to 2020) has enrolled total more than 827 International students (ICCR sponsored) in Gujarat Technological University from about 48 different countries from different corners of the world in its PG School and affiliated colleges in UG and PG courses like Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Engineering, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Application and Ph.D. These students are sponsored by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, through different scholarship schemes. GTU is the University receiving highest number of foreign students in Gujarat State from ICCR. From A.Y 2017-18, GTU has also started offering admission to foreign student on self-finance basis to above mentioned courses.

Foreign Student Cell, looks after issues related to International Students on day to day basis. In case of ICCR students, the Cell scrutinises International Students’ Applications received from ICCR, allocates the students to affiliated institutes, mediates the Fee Payment to institute from ICCR, communicates performance reports of the students to ICCR and furnishes data as required by ICCR from time to time, resolved queries and issues of the International student. Similarly for self-finance foreign students, the International Student Cell manages admission process, documentation, fee processing etc. separately.

GTU and its affiliated institutes undertakes initiative and activities to ensure the smooth and comfortable academic as well as the social founding of all International Students within the Indian Holy Culture. GTU provides single window clearance for different application and certificates of the students.
